Our goal is to provide resources that help you in helping your students master Algebra 1. We’ve aligned all of our materials to the New York State Common Core Learning Standards so you can be sure they are tailored to the content you need to teach in preparation for the Algebra 1 Regents Exam.
Algebra Nation is designed to enhance your instruction. Here are some ways you can use our tools to complement your current approach:
- 1. Whole Group Instruction: Use Algebra Nation activities and other resources to enhance today’s lesson or reinforce a lesson taught last week. Allow students to see the material taught from various perspectives (by one of our several Study Experts – let them pick their favorite!)
- 2. Small Group Work & Differentiated Pacing: Students can move through our videos at different paces based on their comfort with the material. This approach can free up time for you to work with small groups on tough-to-tackle concepts or to create new challenges for students who are mastering content at a faster pace.
- 3. At-Home Support: Wish you could answer your students’ homework questions in real-time? Direct them to the Algebra Nation Wall, where they can get instant answers to their questions from Study Experts, other teachers, and their peers.
- 4. Test Preparation: Use the Test Yourself! Practice Tool to help students prepare for tests and quizzes and for the Algebra 1 Regents exam. The tool provides students with instant feedback and directs them to videos to help them address gaps in their understanding. You can run reports to see their results, too!
