Teachers
The 20,000 Florida teachers that use Algebra Nation know that math matters for Florida students. Not only must students earn credits in Algebra 1 and Geometry to graduate from high school, but success in these courses will improve their college and career prospects dramatically. We’re here to help!
Algebra Nation helps students master (and enjoy) Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. We’ve aligned all of our resources to the Mathematics Florida Standards (MAFS) to ensure they are the best-possible resources to prepare students for the material they’ll encounter on the FSAs, Florida’s end-of course exams.
Algebra Nation is designed to be flexible for you. Teachers use Algebra Nation’s resources in a variety of different ways and can exchange ideas for lessons and activities using our interactive Wall. Here are some quick ideas to get you started!
- 1. Whole Group Instruction: Use Algebra Nation activities and other resources to enhance today’s lesson or reinforce a lesson taught last week. Allow students to see the material taught from various perspectives (by one of our several Study Experts – let them pick their favorite!)
- 2. Differentiated Pacing: Have students move through our videos at different paces based on their comfort with the material. This approach can free up time for you to work with small groups on tough-to-tackle concepts or to create new challenges for students who are mastering content at a fast pace.
- 3. At Home Support: Wish you could answer your students homework questions in real-time? Direct them to the Math Nation Walls, where they can get instant answers to their questions from Study Experts, other teachers, and their peers.
- 4. Virtual Co-Teacher: Next time you wonder if there’s a different way to teach a particular concept, sit down and watch the Algebra Nation video on that topic to get some new ideas!
